Yet another one of Gurvindra Johal's former patients has stepped forwarding, alleging the 55-year-old physician sexually assaulted them in Middlesex County, authorities said.

On Tuesday, April 4, Johal, of the Colonia section of Woodbridge, was charged with an additional count of criminal sexual contact, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said.

The investigation now includes a woman who alleges that Johal touched her inappropriately while under his care at Amboy Urgent Care, located at 469 Cornell Street, Perth Amboy, Ciccone said alongside Perth Amboy Police Chief Lawrence Cattano.

Johal was previously arrested and charged with five counts of criminal sexual contact and one count of sexual assault, they said. He also faces charges in Essex and Monmouth counties, authorities said.

Johal was charged on March 8 with three counts of criminal sexual contact for alleged inappropriate touching of two patients under his care at an urgent care center on Broad Street in Newark, according to Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens,

Johal previously was charged with criminal sexual contact by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office for the alleged inappropriate touching of patients under his care at an urgent care center in Perth Amboy, and an urgent care center in Freehold.

Johal serves as the director of medicine at the Medicenter of Edison, its website shows. The physician's LinkedIn showed he is a board-certified doctor of osteopathic medicine.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Lauren Leyva of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victim’s Unit at 732-745-4499 or Detective Gina Betancourt of the Perth Amboy Police Department at 732-324-3819.
